Cole Davenport '16 Recruiting Profile

I am not only a shooter but also a great defender. I average 18.9 PPG as a Junior, and led the team in many different ways. I have always been taught to do what's best for the team and to always accept your role as a player. My role hasn't always been to score points but it just so happened that my ability to score came natural. Even though offense come easy I would still always take defense seriously because defense wins championships.

This year I am a senior who has goals that some people might think are insane. I am expecting to win 20+ games this year and nothing less. This will be my second year as Captain and my 3rd year starting Varsity. It was always tough playing against upper classmen but doing so made me better as a player.

I am a firm believer in off season work and also in doing things when nobody is watching. I have taken it upon myself to be in the weight room and the gym as much as possible. Even when the gym isn't/wasn't open I would still find ways to improve my game and to get better as an athlete. My desire and dedication to be a college athlete is unreal and I will put in the work that is needed to be done and then way more.

I am super excited for what's to come and whoever I get to play basketball for will be lucky because I will give them my all 24/7.
