My dad inspired me to love basketball at a very young age. I have been around basketball for as long as I can remember, watching my dad coach his 8th grade teams. Eventually, I was lucky enough to be coached by him when I joined the rec league, and then our local travel team. Although this early exposure ignited my love for the game, being on the court is what fuels my passion for the game, doing my best, and winning.
What sets me apart from other recruits is a combination of that passion with coachability, teamwork, resilience, and leadership. I am always willing to learn, grow, and improve my game. I am very coachable, and accepting of the advice and critiques of my coaches. I believe basketball is a team effort, and I am an unselfish player, always doing what it takes for my team to succeed. I am very resilient and have shown grit time and time again, bouncing back after tough plays and games. I am very determined and I never give up. I am a leader, pushing my team members to work harder and do better, and I try to be a positive role model both on and off the court.
Basketball is my passion, but academics are a priority for me. On and off the court, I work very hard to achieve my goals. I am maintaining a cumulative GPA of 4.25 while taking AP and honors courses, as well as being enrolled in our Dual Degree program through our local Junior college.
