Personal Statement
From playing basketball at the YMCA when I was 7 years old, to starting on a team that won a sectional championship against the number 2 team in the state, I have enjoyed playing and learning from others. If I was to be asked about my goals, it would be to compete at the college level and to lead my high school team to a state championship. My vision and court sense are what I feel separates me from most players. Along with my all-around scoring, rebounding, defense, and hustle, I feel with some more hard work and dedication, I would be able to contribute to a team at the next level.
When I’m not playing basketball, I like to hang out with friends and family. I am a straight A student and study hard. I have a part time job at Skyline Chili. I also work basketball camps for younger kids as well as a special needs camp where we interact with the campers and teach the game of basketball.
Playing in college has always been a dream and a goal of mine. I am hoping to play at the highest level possible, competing for a team as well as continuing my academic career. I feel this opportunity would be an honor.
