Basketball has been a passion of mine since I was young. My dad coached both boys and girls varsity basketball along with my teams growing up, so I've always been in a gym. I will be a 4 year varsity letter winner in track when I complete high school along with a 2 year letter winner in basketball. Freshmen year I practiced with varsity, but played games for the freshmen and JV teams. My sophomore year, I continued to practice with varsity, while playing mostly JV with some varsity exposure. This past year as a junior, I played in all varsity games. I'm in my second year playing with the All Iowa Attack basketball program out of Ames, Iowa as well.
I'm interested in a career in Agriculture. We live on a small farm where we have cattle and I have been a member of 4H and FFA. All 4 years in FFA through my high school, I have held an officer position. Volunteering is also something that is important to me. I completed my optional 250 Silver Cord volunteer hours in the middle of my junior year when most students use all 4 years in high school to complete those before graduation.
Being well-rounded is important to me. I appreciate being a part of team and being a quiet leader.
