Personal Statement
My name is Gavin Swearngin I am currently a senior at McLouth High School. I have played 10 years of competitive basketball.
I am 6 foot 4 inches and 180 pounds. I have grown 5 inches since my freshman year. I started my basketball career in 3rd grade.
From 3rd to 8th grade I played a guard but once I started high school I made a transition to a post player.
I have started Varsity at the high school level since my freshman year. Last season I was team captain and made 2nd team all league honors and won the Bramel award through my school.
The Bramel Award is an award chosen by the head coach showing leadership on and off the court.
A college location and the University or College having my major are most important to me. I'm interested in majoring in Agricultural Business or Agricultural Economics.
I have grown up on a Black Angus Cattle ranch and was taught at a young age what it means to have a good work ethic. I would like to play at the collegent level.
I believe I could have a possitive impact on a team. I am an extremely hard worker and I never give up. If I could choose, i would prefer a smaller school my freshman and sophomore year.
