I started playing basketball when I was in 4th grade and began envisioning myself playing the sport for college. I came to love the teamwork because it builds the team's foundation and the challenges because it develops one's character in terms of self-discipline and leadership.
I am a dedicated and hardworking athlete. I am a team player and a quick learner. I have good hands and a lot of heart. I use my instincts and IQ to base my movements in court. My humbled Asian roots molded me into a person, student, and athlete that I am today. In my 8th Grade, I was given the opportunity to play basketball as the only middle schooler to join the JV/Varsity players and ended my season with the “Sixth Man Award”.
I am also a multi-sport player...I joined my school's Cross Country, Football, and Track & Field teams. It has been a very rewarding experience being trained and mentored by different coaches. I always appreciate and listen to my coaches' constructive criticisms because I believe there is always a room for my improvement.
I am a consistent A/B Honor Student and/or Principal's Honor Student since first grade to this date. In 2017, I was chosen to be a guest speaker in the event “Teach for America”. I am a member of the Fellowship Church and a volunteer at Wilson Community Committee.
I am looking forward to learn more valuable lessons and techniques that will help me grow into a college athlete.
