I have been playing basketball since I was 6 years old. I have always aspired to play at the next level. I want to play college basketball because I want to continue my basketball career after high school. Although I am an undersized guard, I want to push myself to reach this goal.
My goal is to play at the collegiate level in order develop as a player, teammate, person, and student. Although I am an undersized guard, I know I am a great defender, whether that means guarding the best player on the other team, or someone bigger than me. I am always up for the challenge. I also can bring a different type of energy to the court, by encouraging teammates while on the court, being loud on defense, and playing my hardest at all times.
I work hard on my growth and development year round, I have played AAU basketball for the past 4 years and recently started working on my strength and conditioning by incorporating weight training during the off-season.
In the classroom, I work hard to maintain a high GPA. I plan on participating in dual enrollment at my local college in order to prepare me for college academics. I also volunteer with the local youth basketball in my area, and participate in the local Bulldog Strong basketball game to raise cancer awareness. I am the student that is not afraid to ask questions if I don't understand something, and I believe this sets me a part in the classroom and on the court.
Ever since I can remember, I always dreamed of making it to the NBA and making my family proud, especially my grandma. Even if i don't make it to the NBA, I can still make my family proud by working hard to get a college education, and playing college basketball.
