Basketball isn't just a game for me – it's my all-consuming passion. My journey began in the third grade when I picked up a basketball not because I was some child prodigy, but simply because I fell in love with the sport. Those early days were all about recreational play, and even then, the court felt like my personal haven. It's where my usually reserved self came alive.
Fast forward to the fourth grade, and I took my basketball journey to the next level by joining the AAU circuit. The basketball community embraced me, and I found my voice, not in conversation but on the hardwood. I'm not one to chatter much unless I'm on the court or have something crucial to say. My actions speak louder than my words, and the court is where I express myself best.
Off the court, I'm a burger and pizza fanatic, but you'll never catch me near a banana – not my thing at all. My mom, who happens to be a nutritionist, has been preaching the gospel of balanced meals since I was knee-high. I confess I don't always follow her advice to the letter, but I'm making an effort to live healthier.
My style of play is heavily influenced by idols like Kevin Durant and Brandon Ingram. I'm just captivated by their skills and finesse on the court. Now, early mornings aren't my strong suit, but when it comes to basketball training, you better believe I'll wake up at the crack of dawn because I live for it!
I've had the opportunity to participate in various basketball events and tournaments, like the CP3NMSC Combine, where I made it into the Top 20 All-Star game. I've also tested my skills against other talented players in programs such as T3TV, PGC Basketball, and HoopGroup. However, the heart of my basketball journey lies with TeamThrill UAA 2027, currently ranked as the fifth-best team in the country. Playing alongside them, I've faced some of the nation's top talents and celebrated seven championship victories along the way.
In the midst of this exhilarating journey, something unexpected happened – I formed an unbreakable bond with my Cane Corso, Diamond. I used to be afraid of dogs, but Diamond changed all that. She became my loyal companion, offering comfort in the competitive world I live in.
Right now, I'm at Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore, Maryland. They not only provide strong academic support but also have a basketball program led by a legendary coach that's nothing to sneeze at. It's here that I continue chasing my basketball dreams, embracing the passion that has defined my life.
