Garrison Linton '21 Recruiting Profile

Garrison is fully committed to playing basketball at the highest level possible.  As a junior, he is an honors student with a 3.6 GPA and scored at the 99% statewide on his PARCC assessments (state summative assessment for Maryland).  Garrison is an excellent candidate to play collegiate basketball as his work ethic is second to none.  He plays year round  basketball and on the rare occasion he has an off day, he is in the gym working out and training on his own.  When other kids are partying on weekend nights---on his own, he goes to his gym looking for pick up games, lifting weights, practicing his shot.  He stays after school just to gain access to the courts.  He never misses practices, games or tournaments.  He misses family vacations and sometimes holidays to go to every game/tournament he can.  He volunteers to coach youth basketball camps, assists with his younger brother's team practices and attends summer camps for additional training above his year round commitment for Spring AAU, travel competitive teams, Fall ball and shootouts, Summer elite program and high school basketball season.  He has won MVP, Free throw champ, Hot shot champion (Coach Wooten) and has developed leadership roles as Captain of the team for his Middle School, High School JV team and his AAU team.  Garrison was mentioned several times in our local paper as the leading game scorer for his high school JV team.  He lives and breathes basketball--24/7.  Garrison's dream is to play at the highest level he possibly can and is committed to do whatever it takes to achieve his goal.
