Isaiah Payne '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches, 

I am a facilitator-type point guard who is not afraid to score in and outside the arc, drive to the basket, and play defense. I am a two-year varsity captain of the team. In 2023, I was named to the All County - 2nd team. In 2022, All County- Honorable Mention. I won the MVP at the 25th Annual Baltimore City Public Schools Basketball Academy game versus Lake Clifton High School; scoring 23 points and an article in the Baltimore Sun.

My basketball IQ, situational awareness, and technical skills are at five- and four-star levels.  My school's head coach and I collaborate on plays and the best direction for our team.  I also have a stellar relationship with my teammates on and off the court. Respect is mutual, and teamwork means a lot.  These qualities extend to any AAU team I have played on as well. 

For 12th grade, thus far, I have earned a 3.25 GPA and a 3.03 cumulative GPA. Knowing how to manage my time and be disciplined to complete assignments is paramount.  My grades speak to my commitment to strengthening my educational future. Lastly, I must give back to my community through service-based commitments and activities. 

I strive to play at the highest level of basketball and then transition to a coach or team owner. I am ready.
