Gavin Taylor '26 Recruiting Profile

Playing College Basketball has always been a dream of mine. Ever since I was 4-5 years old playing Upward Basketball, I have worked on getting better as basketball player and teammate. What makes me a good fit for any team is that I distribute the ball on the court with my high IQ, get stops on the defensive end, and shoot from anywhere, but basketball is not all about the game, it's about relationships. I always like getting to know my teammates and coaches, eventually having a long-term friendship with them. Whether I am on or off the court I make sure I have a good attitude. If one of my teammates is having a bad game, I will always have their back and give them more confidence or if someone is struggling in the classroom, I'll help them study. In my upcoming years in high school, I plan on playing Football, Track, and Golf to keep myself active while also hitting the gym. Academically speaking, I have a 3.6 GPA with one honors class in science.
