Personally, I believe that I am a hard worker. I always bring intensity and heart to whatever it is I'm doing, whether it's on or off of the court or track. I encourage myself and others in my sport to be the best that we can be, not just for ourselves but for the team itself. I respect those who came before me in my high school, Southfield Christian, as they were able to solidify multiple state championships while I was only in middle school. I realize now how much determination and fight they had to have to obtain such feats, which fuels me to want to do the best that I can on the court. Being the team captain in my senior year, I realize how much communication and example is needed to have a successful team. I could never ask my teammates to do something that I am not doing myself, as I would not be leading by example. I believe that I exemplify much endurance compared to other recruits, as I was unable to participate in basketball my junior year because of the MHSAA transfer rule. I didn't make a big deal about the situation after trying to get around it, and realized that I just had to get better in time for my senior season. The coaches allowed me to practice daily with the team, and attend games on the bench despite me not being eligible to play games. I am grateful for that experience because it taught me patience, and made me set a goal for myself for the following year.
