Mitch Hinrichs '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mitch Hinrichs and I am currently attending Sandy Creek High School in Nebraska, and will graduate in 2013. I stand at 6'2'', weigh 175 pounds, and have a 29 inch vertical; I bench press 215 pounds, squat 350, and hang clean 235. I'm a sophomore and have played on the varsity level for two years. As a freshman I was mainly a role player on defense. Over the Summer I worked hard and developed my offensive skills for the upcoming year. My sophomore I started ever single game and earned multiple honors. First, I got All-State Honorable Mention (C-1), then I also got All-Conference First Team and All-County First Team. I scored a 22 on my PLAN test, which is an estimated 23-25 on the ACT test. Overall, I have a 4.0 GPA and I plan to continue this trend throughout my education. From an athletic perspective and throughout my life, I tend to be the leader instead of the follower. I have a very hard and dedicated work ethic. In everything I do I strive to be the best and compete to make others around me better. I want to attend a 4-year college, get my degree in Physical Therapy, Education, or Nutrition and continue my career in basketball at the next level. My dream has always been to play Division I. I would love the competition level that Division I offers. Ideally, I want to continue my basketball career at the highest level possible. I would also consider NAIA and Division II schools. Overall I just want to attend a college where is the best fit for me and allows me to continue my career in basketball. The geographical location isn't nearly as important as the other factors, such as academics and social structure of the college, but if possible i would like to attend college somewhere in the midwestern part of the United States.
