My name is Abdul Shanunu, I'm currently a senior at Elizabeth High School, New Jersey. I'm 6'6 195 lbs born and raised in Ghana. Coming from Ghana I had my goals and one of them is to achieve my brothers dream. My brother Abdul-Razak Shanunu who was a five star recruit coming out of Ghana passed away unfortunately( may he rest in peace). Ever since then life has not been the same for me, but it made me understand that in life adversity is going to come but you have overcome it and keep moving. This affect me a lot on the basketball court because It motives me to work hard and out play my opponent.
One thing I live by hard work. I make sure I give 100% to my academics and athletics. B the underdog and playing with a chip on my shoulder to make my brother and my family proud. I consider myself a team player, I believe that hard work, commitment and the dedication are keys to being successful in life especially on and off the court. It is my goal to earn a scholarship and play at the highest level.
