Garon Jones '17 Recruiting Profile

    As a student athlete I strongly believe education is the foundation and formula for future success.  I am a very determined person and put my all into everything I do. Whether it’s doing additional repetitions to get stronger, or proof reading my essay multiple times to get the best grade possible. I also believe that attending Rutgers Prep has prepared me for the academic rigor college has to offer. As an athletic, I always strive to become an even better player and embrace opportunities to learn and enhance my skill sets. I am also a great competitor, teammate and lead by example. As a point guard, I view myself as an extension of the coach on the floor, a play maker and able to make sound decisions. As a collegiate coach, I know winning is extremely important, coupled with preparing your athletes for a successful future beyond college. In other words, having an athlete to successfully complete your program on and off the court is paramount. I commit to being that athlete!  Needless to say, my educational and athletic fortitude has allowed me to develop into the young man I am today and what I will draw on as I tackle the road ahead.
