Every day I make the effort to better myself. Greatness is not achieved overnight. The past 10 years of my life have been dedicated to two things, basketball and schoolwork. With learning and grades as my primary focus I drive myself to compete at the highest level. That determination and eagerness to be the best easily moves to the court. As an athlete that wants to win I understand what it takes: hours of practice, training, getting faster while maintaining precision. The reward of time spent repeating drills, increasing endurance, and being coached pays off in game time. That feeling when I block a shot, cause a turnover, disrupt the passing lane leading to a bucket, to me is as good as swishing a three or sinking the baseline fade.
Playing at the college level has been my goal for years and I want to commit everything I have to the team. I will spend as much time as needed in the gym and in practices working to get better so I can be the best on the court at any time. In recent years I’ve seen a rapid growth in my abilities. The years of dedication to the sport are showing up and showing out. With continued efforts and proactive coaching I expect to keep getting better. I know I have to because there are thousands out there striving for the same thing, a chance to play at the next level.
