I feel as if I am a leader on and off the court, and I display this by maintaining academic excellence and constantly working on my game. I am a very devoted and honest person who takes both academics and athletics seriously. I have had several coaches throughout my life, and everyone one my previous coaches will vouch that I am a very coachable player. My current coach, David Laton, has had the pleasure of coaching two NBA basketball players: David Robinson (Navy College) and Chris Paul (West Forsyth High-School). Also, I feel another benefit that I am able to bring to the table is the fact that my grandfather and mother were certified high school officials. In my personal opinion, this provides me with a unique perspective of the game. Also, my great grandfather, Don King, played at Appalachian State University, where he held the record for scoring until a couple years ago. My grandfather, Jeff King, played at Greensboro College, and later coached at North Surry, winning at State Championship. I feel that I have a variety of unique characteristics as well as background knowledge for the game; therefore, my current goal is to continue to growing and learning as student athlete.
