My 4th grade year I tried out for the Pickerington Youth Athletic Association Basketball Team. Ever since then my love for the game has expanded. Through these few years of playing basketball I have developed helpful skills such as, being a leader on and off the court, playing every position, learning every spot in a play quickly, and adjusting to certain situations under pressure. I am a person who sets many goals for himself in sports and academics. Therefore, in school, my goals will be to work to get a 4.0 or higher GPA, become valedictorian, and to take Advanced Placement along with college prep courses.
There are many obstacles in sports and life itself, but overcoming those obstacles are what makes you the type of person or athlete you are. I had to overcome a few things to get where I am now as in, learning to be an offensive and defensive threat, being able to use my weak hand, and not letting what others say about me or my dreams put me down, but motivate me to work harder.
