Personal Statement
My love for basketball started at a young age. My dad played in college and was coaching a grade school team when I was born. Every basketball season I would go with my dad to watch him coach. When I was old enough I started to practice with my dads teams. Practicing with kids that were older then me pushed me to work on my game to get past the defender to score or to be quick on defense to stop the offense from scoring.
In the eighth grade my family moved. That was hard leaving everything and everyone I had known my entire life behind. However, what I learned from moving is I can accomplish anything I want by working as hard as I can.
During my time in high school I hope to continue to improve on my skills and continue to grow physically and emotionally. I have set a goal of graduating with a 3.6 or high GPA.
My goals at a collegiate level are to compete that the highest level I am able. I will put in extra time on the court and in the classroom. I love to compete and strive to be the best at everything I do. While I compete on the court I want to be successful in the classroom to prepare myself for my journey after sports are over.
Off the court I do enjoy getting to know my teammates. I feel the better the bound is off the court the better for the team to compete on the court.
