Grant Fuson '19 Recruiting Profile

Who am I?  I am a 6'5" and 215lb starter, I'm a 6th man, I'm a 7th man, I'm a TEAM player - I fit where my team and coach needs me and where I can contribute to the win.  I'm a Power Forward, I'm a Wing, I can play Post.  I score in the paint, I'm a 3 point shooter, I rebound, I hustle, I pass the ball, I score, I hit the floor for the ball and take a charge.  I'm a defender and offensive play maker and love to make great passes and grab rebounds.  I'm not flashy, but I get the work done for the entire team to do their jobs.  Being a 6th man and having to earn a starting position has taught me to work hard on and off the court for what I want to achieve.  I play to make everyone a success.  My dedication, along with unselfish play makes me a good candidate for any team needing rebounds, assists, points and defense.  

I have dedication, passion and a strong work ethic in sports, academics and all my home responsibilities.   I'm a good friend, son and younger brother, I play football and I ran Cross Country in high school, but I'm a basketball player first and I play to help my teams WIN.  I'm a leader on the floor and am unselfish.  I play hard, I respect the game, my teammates, coaching staff and the officials.  I learned this from my family and coaches who helped me become the person and athlete I am.   I get along with everyone, and I'm part of the glue that sticks the team together from starter to 12th man.  

I'm an entrepreneur with BIG ideas.   I keep a notebook about innovations and have attended a college entrepreneur week last summer.   I have my eye on my future in both sports and business.

Why am I different?  I don't need the spotlight, but I'm a contributor to the win for the team and I'm willing to do what it takes according to what the coach needs.  I can play other sports, but my passion is to play basketball and being part of a basketball team during college is my goal along with getting my degree in business.
