Austin Blanchfill '12 Recruiting Profile

     My name is Austin Blanchfill and I'm currently attending Yoncalla High School.  I am a 6'2" Senior , I'm fast with a huge vertical ( I can slam dunk) and great hands. I have played a varsity starter all four years in Football, Basketball, Track and Baseball.  Last year I went to State and placed in 3 different events,  2nd in 110m high hurdles, 3rd in long jump and 8th in the 200m without near enough practice as I was playing baseball the same season. My only practice were meets. In Football my junior year I was the top reciever in the league with the best stats, my senior year I played many different positions including qb to try and better the team and I ended up recieving all league defensive back.  However, our team lost all but one league game so the stats posted certainly do not reflect my true ability. 
      I currently have a 3.97 GPA  and by the end of my Senior year I will have taken 5 math classes, 2 of them being college level math classes and 5 writing classes, with two of them being college level as well.  I am a scholar athlete and have been told by coaches that I'm a quick thinker out on the field, I'm coachable, I accomplish whatever I am told to do, and that I never give under 110 percent. I believe that I am a desireable recruit for any coach.

     I'm considering a degree in Pre-med to ultimately become a Chiropractor or Physical Therapist, however I am still open to all options at this point.
