My name is Varoon Joshi and I’m a junior at Unionville High School, a public high school, in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. My academics are as important to me as basketball. I am interested in learning more about your basketball program. I have a 1520 SAT and a 4.15 weighted GPA. As a 4th grader, I published a paper titled “Predicting the origins of next forest-based emerging infectious disease” in Springer Link’s Environmental Monitoring and Assessment Journal.
This past AAU season, our team went to four of five championship games and won the Jr. 76ers tournament at Spooky Nook, Pennsylvania. I played over 80% of the minutes during most games. I am a gamechanger on the defensive end, causing multiple turnovers with my quick hands and relentless pressure. I use that momentum to fuel offensive sparks to keep plays alive using my dribble, get teammates open using my vision, and help my team score points using my poise throughout the game. Basketball enhances who you already are, and our goal is to exhibit the same drive and passion across the board.
I hope we are able to talk in the near future.
Thanks,
Varoon Joshi
