Heston Wilson '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Heston Wilson and I am a Senior homeschooled basketball player desiring to play college ball at a high level.

I attended and played at a private school for three years and am currently playing for a select team. My family is sports gifted, so I have played many sports over the course of my life, but in 8th grade, when I finally gave basketball a try, I instantly fell in love with the sport. At the time, I didn’t have the skills and stood only 5’4”, but the pace of the game, the thrill of accurate shooting, and most importantly to me, the team dynamic, resonated with my personality and my athletic gifts.

I played the next three years, learning the game and growing to a height of 6’4”. This year I transitioned to homeschooling so I could go “all in” with basketball. I go to the gym several hours  each day, get personal coaching and play hard for my team. I am a “late bloomer,” but I have taken off and am determined to grow (I am still growing physically!) as an athlete and a team leader. 

My natural talent, acquired skills, leadership and enthusiasm for the game would be a fine addition to your program.
