Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Jacob May. I am 17 years old and I love the game of basketball. I began playing competitive basketball since the age 8.  I currently play for the Houston Raiders. My goal is to play college basketball at a very Competitive Division 1, 2, and or 3 level. I am the type of athlete that won't cause my coaches any stress. I love to win and I want to succeed,  so I push myself to get my goals accomplished. I would one day love to play in the NBA, if that dream does not come true for me I would like to become a physical therapist.  I help train younger kids at my trainers gym in the summer.  I am very proud to attend my homeschool team, here I have much more time to do school work and develop my game compared to being at a public school. Homeschool basketball is very competitive. We are not ones to sleep on. I am working really hard athletically and academically to prepare myself for the next level.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
