I started playing basketball when I was five. My dad enrolled me in this sport because ever since I started to walk, I always had a ball in my hand. Once I got a taste for the sport I was hooked. Even though I played and excelled in soccer, football, baseball, and lacrosse I gave them up for a career in basketball, with my heart set on playing at the college level and beyond. I love basketball because it fulfills my competitive nature, is fast-paced, and is never boring. There is always room for improvement, so I spend my spare time working out and playing basketball at a local Rec Center, in addition to practicing with my AAU team. I want to study Kinesiology, Sports Management, or something similar, with a career goal of becoming a sports trainer or coach. I would like to attend a college with a good team with coaches who build team spirit and has the academic platform for me to reach my sports and professional goals.
