Personal Statement
My name is Peter Dress of Kamiakin high school, where I currently have a 3.8 GPA. It is my dream to play the game I love at the collegiate level. I am a team player, and consider my teammates my family. While growing up, I've always been known as a "shooter." My goal is to be known as a great basketball player, that can do it all. This year has given me the opportunity to do just that. I take pride in my shooting ability, and continue sharpening my shooting skills, as I realize that is what I am really good at. This year I have become a defensive threat, while crashing the boards, scoring in the paint, executing great passes, and shooting from the perimeter. I feel like I turned a corner this season, and am not just a great shooter, but I am a much better all around basketball player on both ends of the court, and always striving to be better at all facets of the game.
While off the court, I enjoy being a member of Young Life, and attending a men's weekly bible study. I also enjoy playing golf, and traveling with mom, dad, and my older brother.
I love high school basketball the most, as it's still a team game, and not just about showcasing oneself. That's how I picture the college game, and that's why it is my dream to play college basketball.
