Personal Statement
I am graduating with the class of 2023. I am a highly coach-able young man and work very hard at my craft. I consider myself a bit of a fundamentalist, always working hard to ensure that the fundamental aspects of my game are perfected before I get into the show that many others find themselves spending time on before they have perfected the fundamentals. I have a killer jumper and am very strong in the post. I have great speed and my ball handling is second to none. Coaches tell me that I am a leader by action. I may not be a loud voice, but my work ethic pushes my teammates to be the absolute best they can be. My attitude is confident, but not arrogant. I let my game speak for itself.
My work ethic and respect for team come from my parents. My father owns his own company and has to work hard for every dollar he brings in. He runs his company like a team and has always been involved in coaching me on and off the court in some respect. Because my father works so hard, my mother has always taken care of the house management, always caring for kids in the community and ensuring that we are raised with compassion and respect for others. My parents do their best to ensure that I am always in the best off-season programs that I can be a part of. That takes dedication and I respect my family tremendously for what they provide me on and off the basketball court.
You will never have to worry about me in the classroom as I will always be a strong A-B Student. I have a great network of responsible friends and choose to hang with people who value family, school, and athletics as much as I do. My parents are very supportive of me and are always there for me and my friends. We are very active in our community and help out people as much as we can. Fundamental skills, Consistency, work ethic, drive, and a drive and determination to get better define what I will bring to your team.
