Jacob Koon '25 Recruiting Profile

As of Freshman, being on the varsity team, it showcased all my efforts were paying off. My high school team had been coming off of six straight losing seasons, with the most games won being four. While for me, alongside my twin brother, we never lost more than four games in a season during our middle school career, going undefeated in one of them. Going into the season, our team was looked over like "an easy win", but as a team, we knew we were capable of so much more. Throughout the season, the senior point guard showed leadership and taught me many skills I use today. We ended the season tying our school record for most wins in a season, even hosting two playoff games. Losing in a playoff game at home left a sour taste in all of our mouths. So in the offseason, I worked hard because I knew I would have to step up for our team to be successful. The next season, I took what I learned last year and put my work into effect, helping the team to break the school record for most wins in a season. However, what sets me apart from others is my defense and playmaking. I love to guard the opposing team's best player, while setting my teammates up for open shots at the other end of the court. I am super excited about what's next for me and my team in the years to come.
