Mason Johnson '20 Recruiting Profile

I spent the first Covid year working on my game and I grew my game from 'had to score around the basket' to mid-range jumper.   In High School, I finished ranked 61 in the state.  And, I was the #1 in Rebounder in  the State of Wisconsin in 2020.   Since then, I have improved dramatically.  Now as a Covid Freshman playing in NJCAA Div II, I am in the top 10 in Total Rebounds, Top 20 in Total Points and Top 30 in free throw percentage while at Milwaukee Area Technical College.  As a Captain, I lead with hard work and effort in the 2021 season because I have coaches who believe and push me  to get better. I will continue improving my skills and athletic ability until they match my ambition or I break.  I am searching for an opportunity that will push me to the next level. 

I looking for a Covid safe place on a team where I can grow, learn, and embrace the grind of getting better.  I love the study of the Oceans.  I am currently an Environmental Science major.  I dream of one day becoming an Oceanographer.  I am probably more quiet than most players, but I make up for it in commitment, motor and determination.
