Personal Statement

I grew up in a basketball family. I am the youngest of 5 brothers and my dad has coached basketball my entire life. I grew up in the gym watching and aspiring to be like my older brothers who were my role models. I pride myself in giving 110% all the time on both ends of the court. I  am a team player and put the team before myself.  I lead by example, hustle,  and heart. I led the state of Wisconsin in steals per game as a Sophomore(4.8 SPG) and Junior(5.6 SPG) and was also at the top for assists per game. I would make a great asset to any team as I have excellent work ethic and a drive to compete and win. I spend countless hours in the gym not only to better myself daily but because I love the game.

  • Seth Bunders – 2023 – PG – Wisconsin Blizzard Bunders was a breakout star of the Summer Jam to help his team all the way to the championship game. He started it with 23 points in the semifinals game and followed that up with a staggering 30 points in the championship game with plenty of defensive attention on him. The senior showed a nice ability to create for himself from beyond the perimeter as well as finishing at a high rate in plenty of traffic in the paint. More than just a scorer, Bunders also created for his teammates. 2023 6’1 Seth Bunders – Wisconsin Blizzard 17U Seth Bunders was electric on Sunday for Wisconsin Blizzard. First in a Final 4 matchup with WI Swing, Bunders scored 21 of his 23 point in the second half, including a tough game-tying three with 10 seconds remaining, and the game winning steal and layup on the final possession to give Blizzard the win. In the 17U championship game Blizzard trailed by 15 points in the first half when Bunders took over the game. He got to the rim and had some impressive lays in traffic, made 4 threes, and had some nice assists on his way to a 30 point performance. Blizzard fell by 4 points to Team Haliburton but Bunders had the gym buzzing with his play. Written by Isaac by Dennis for NY2LA

  • Seth Bunders, 6-1, PG, Sr., Wauzeka-Steuben A dynamic, athletic and aggressive lead guard who can score, set up teammates and push the ball in transition, Bunders had a strong camp and won both the Three-Point Shooting contest and the Skills Competition. He also performed well for his team, showing the ability to beat defenders off the dribble while also knocking down perimeter shots and getting the ball to his teammates. Bunders averaged 21.9 ppg as a junior and earned first-team all-Ridge & Valley Conference honors. Written by Mark Miller https://www.wissports.net/news_article/show/1229295 Seth Bunders pulled off the daily double Monday evening at the annual Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook Camp held at Viterbo University in La Crosse. The Wauzeka-Steuben senior guard won the Skills Competition and then followed that up by winning the Three-Point Shooting contest. Later in the evening, the 6-foot-0 point guard was electric with his shooting and passing while helping his team play well and earn some victores. Bunders edged senior Carson Koepnick of West Salem and sophomore Preston Johnson of River Falls in the finals of the Skills Competition, which featured ball handling, passing and shooting skills along with speed and quickness in an obstacle-like course spread out throughout the Viterbo college floor. Bunders finished the course in :33.8 seconds compared with :37.4 for Johnson and :37.7 for Koepnick. Senior Sam Coon (6-1) of St. Mary's Springs, senior Grant Paertzold (6-0) of Cameron and junior Eli Podoll (6-0) of Franklin also took part in the Skills Competition. Moments after winning the Skills Competition, Bunders and three others took part in the Three-Point Shooting contest. Bunders made 27 triples in a two-minute period to defeat senior Connor McFarlane (6-0) of D.C. Everest in one semifinal. McFarlane made 25 triples during the two-minute time frame. In the other semifinal, Senior Mason Stoik (6-4) of Eau Claire Memorial made 26 triples to turn back junior Domanyyck Schwarzenberger (6-3) of Bloomer. Schwarzenberger made 19 triples. In the playoff for the title, Bunders connected on 26 triples compared to 22 for Stoik. Bunders shot 36 percent from three-point range as a junior at Wauzeka-Steuben, making 53 of 147 attempts. He averaged 21.9 points per game and shared Player of the Year honors in the Ridge & Valley Conference with Ashton Swanson of Seneca and Stephen Munson of North Crawford. Spending time in the Wauzeka-Steuben gym takings shots with The Gun machine has paid off for Bunders, who attended Almond-Bancroft as a freshman and sophomore before moving to Wauzeka last summer. "I basically use The Gun at school every day," Bunders said. "I try to get up 300 to 400 shots per day and my goal is to make over 50 percent." Bunders' ability to make long-distance shots coupled with his ability to handle the ball with ease and find open teammates with his passing skills make him a very difficult cover for opponents. "If I'm making some threes in a game, I like to use shot fakes to go to the basket," Bunders said. "My three-point shooting can set up my drives to the basket." Bunders is receiving recruiting interest from a number of NCAA Division III programs, including Ripon College and UW-Platteville, among others.
