Christian Mickelson '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6’5” combo guard from Norfolk, Nebraska. I currently own a 3.85 GPA (3.79 core) through my first three years of high school, during which time I have taken Honors Biology, Honors Geometry, and Honors Pre-Calc Algebra as well as AP Language Arts and English. This past season as a junior at Laramie High School (WY), I led my high school team in both scoring and rebounding, while finishing second in assists per game. I was also a Wyoming 4A 1st Team All-Conference and 2nd Team All-State selection, including being chosen a team captain. In addition, I have over seven years of experience playing AAU club basketball at the highest levels of competition. Lastly, I am a team-first player who is willing to sacrifice whatever is necessary in order for the team to be successful.

I am looking for an institution where I will be challenged both in the classroom and on the basketball court. I plan to pursue a degree in education, with the goal of becoming both a math or history teacher and a high school basketball coach. I am open to attending any university or school that will afford me the opportunity to pursue my dream of playing college basketball, to include the NAIA, DII, and DIII levels. I believe hard work, preparation, and accountability are the three main components to success.
