Sam Rice '25 Recruiting Profile

My journey of golf began at the age of six in the local Jr. PGA Program.  At the age of 12, I began to focus solely on golf because I enjoyed being outside, the challenge of the game and that it is a lifetime sport.  I want to pursue golf on the collegiate level in the future and work to improve my skills as an athlete.  My daily commitment to golf includes improving my technique, endurance and overall understanding of the game.  I will continue to work locally with my coaches and in tournaments in order to improve my scores.  Academics are extremely important to me as I prepare to enter high school this fall, and I was fortunate enough to be named valedictorian of my eighth grade class.  I am a virtual high school student who dedicates at least 5 hours daily to the game of golf.  Whether it is strength and conditioning, working drills on the course or playing 18 holes daily.  In addition, I have maintained a 3.97 (unweighted) Grade Point Average taking Honor's, Advanced Placement and College Courses. I seek to represent a college as an athlete with advanced academic skills and strong moral standards.
