July 2012Personal Statement
I am a Senior at Bishop Union High School, Bishop, CA. This is my fourth year on the Varsity team. Our team won first place in our league last year for the third straight year. I've made it to California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Individuals two years in a row and played in Team CIF three times. Competing in events like this has helped me to realize that I want to play golf on a college golf team at a competitive level. Last summer I played in the Nevada Junior Golf Association where I won two tournaments. My best round was a 6 under par 66 at Red Hawk Country Club in Sparks, Nevada. I am a dedicated student with a desire to learn. My current GPA is a 3.17. I'm hoping to find a school where I can excel as a student and as part of a competitive golf team.
