February 2015Personal Statement
I picked up my first golf club at the age of 7 and knew that golf was the sport for me. I have spent the last 11 years on the golf course working to be the best golfer that I can be. Hours of practice at the driving range, putting green and on the course have paid off.
I am currently a senior at Temescal Canyon High School and a member of the Varsity Golf Team. As a freshman and sophomore I won the Sunbelt League Individual Championship. My freshman year I qualified for the CIF Regional Tournament. During my sophomore year, I qualified for the CIF Regional Tournament where I placed 7th and qualified for the CIF Southern California Sectionals. At sectionals I placed 4th and qualified for the state tournament. I was the only underclassmen named to the Inland Empire First Team.
I qualified to play in the SCPGA Toyota Tour Cup for the remainder of the 2014 and all of the 2015 seasons. I plan to play as many of these events as possible. I know they will challenge me and take my game to the next level.
In addition to my success on the golf course, I am a good student. Currently, I have a 3.85 GPA and am challenging myself academically by taking 2 AP courses this year.
I would love to attend a college that will challenge me to improve my game and give me the necessary skills to be successful in the future.
