Christopher Yang '14 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Christopher Yang, I am 16 years old and just completed my junior year at Yorba Linda High School.  I have been playing golf for only 3 years now and have developed a strong passion for the game of golf.  This is my third year being on the varsity golf team at my school. I have been a major contributor in each year that I have played, and I really enjoy playing on a team.  I am 6'0 tall and weigh about 160 pounds.  I am very focused on golf and have a strong work ethic. Each week I plan on what I am going to work on in my game to make me a better player. In addition, I work out at the gym 3 to 4 times a week to stay in shape.

This year our team had 16(wins)-4(loses) in league; placing us 1st in league.  I was awarded MVP for the second year in a row now by averaging a nine-hole score of 37 and by having 6 medals (4 below par scores).  Each year my golf game keeps getting better and better.  In the beginning of this year I qualified for the SCPGA Toyota Tour Cup by shooting a two day round of 71-73  144 even par at Menifee Lakes Golf Course.  

My hope is to play at a college that has a solid golf program.  I have a lot to offer colleges, including a good personality and a strong work ethic.
