Personal Statement
Being invited to compete in Australia to play for the United States golf team and represent Colorado as a junior in high school has been my best experience as a student athlete. However, my best learning experience came when I did not make the regional team as a sophomore. I then went on to practice all summer and drop my average stroke score by 16.8 strokes going into my junior year. This showed me that if you put your mind to something, anything is truly possible.
Growing up, my parents always told me that to be a student-athlete, student always comes first. It has always been my goal to try my best in each of my academic classes. What sets me apart from other candidates is I am a leader in the classroom and on the field. I am a problem solver and someone to look towards when things get tough. I am responsible for my own actions as well as my team. I am an outgoing individual who cares about others as much as I do myself.
