Personal Statement
I grew up loving the game of golf, and from a young age learned that it was something that I always wanted it to be a part of my life. In the past 3 seasons I worked as hard as possible to turn scores from 80's to consistently mid 70's I realized that this game needs numerous hours of practice and commitment to be able to compete at a higher level. I know that I am committed. When I started playing on CTJRPGA and other events I began to grasp the game and learned how to play golf and get comfortable in a competitive way. It wasn't until the 2018 CT Amateur Tournament that I realized golf isn't just a game you play, but something you manage. I was the youngest to qualify at 16 years old. There were many collegiate golfers that I was able to speak to and they made me even more determined to play in college. To play at this level gave me great confidence and the drive to play better. After the second round of qualifying I saw what happens when you don't apply course management. Since that tournament I have made great strides in all aspects of the game and look to continue to improve.
I consider academics very important as well. I want to attend a college with the right resources and classes where I can succeed after college. It is important because I want to get the best education. This is the start of my future.
I consider myself well rounded. I look forward to making new friendships, advancing academically, and focusing on my golf. I also look forward to making long lasting relationships with my friends, Professors and Coaches.
