Mario Palermo '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name Is Mario Palermo Jr. I play competitive Golf and Highschool Golf for my school Montini Catholic located in Lombard, Illinois. I am a team player, I show up to every team event, I help and aid my teammates even if its personal, I try to get them feeling better so that our team can win, I’m very competitive and I enforce rules on other teams when they cheat/break the rules so the game is played properly and no one gets disqualified. I bring joy and laughter to the team, and overall make everyone feel happy. What I look for is a college with students like me that enjoy the game of golf and really put full commitment into the game to make it competitive but enjoyable. I started out by playing hockey but transitioned into golf, because I just loved the way the pros would play everyday. My academic strengths are putting focus, and time into my work. I put my utmost attention into all my classes, and waste no time in getting my work finished and turned in. I check my grades every two days, each week (even on the weekends) to make sure I keep a consistent grade. Overall I keep calm and stay happy through anything I do, if it's school work, or playing 18 out on the course. I don't like to distract myself with other things besides my Goals. Thank You.
