Since an early age, I have always dreamed of becoming a collegiate golfer. Since I was able to walk my Father had a club in my hand. My love for the game grew throughout the years. I took my first golf lesson at age 4 and have never looked back.
I have been fortunate to study and grow my game with one of the areas premier golf instructors, Mr. Steve Heckel. He has been my swing instructor for the last 5 years. The amount of change that I have seen throughout my game over the years has been a constant gradual improvement.
I believe I will benefit a collegiate program due to my work ethic. I hit balls on average of two hours a day. Along with my work ethic, I believe I am very coachable and willing to take constructive criticism. My athletic abilities outside of golf has added to my decision making abilities. By being the starting point guard for our basketball team, has made me mentally stronger that in turn affects my overall mindset on the golf course.
These attributes along with my academic ability make me a strong candidate for a collegiate golf team. It is my hope that I will be able to strengthen a teams nucleus and make them along with myself a more productive golfer and adult.
