I have been playing golf since I could hold and swing a Fisher-Price plastic golf club. It has been a passion of mine ever since and I have worked on my skills all year round, from practicing putting in the living room to working on my short game at my grandparents' condo, not to mention the countless summer days spent on one of the local golf courses. I have been fortunate enough to play at some of the best courses on vacations in Illinois, Hawaii, Arizona, and in the Ozarks. Even though I also play baseball, I participate in as many Iowa Junior PGA golf tournaments as possible each summer and have gained important life and game experience playing with others at that level. Since being on the Varsity team as a freshman, I have stepped into a leadership role that has been natural and I know it's important to build up the team as a whole and encourage each of my teammates, even offering advice during practices. I have goals to play at the State tournament this year as an individual (with my team would be even better), make 1st team all-conference, and win the conference tournament with my teammates. My future goals include playing golf at a DI university and studying criminal justice. Following college, I plan to apply for entry into Quantico to become an FBI agent.
