Throughout my high school career, I don't feel I have played to my full potential yet. Although I learned to play at a very young age, I only really got into golf in 2020 when COVID took away my other sports - it was only then that I learned how much I loved the sport. Over these last few years, even when I don't play my best, I appreciate the opportunity I have to play as well as the effort and work that is required to grow. My goals for college are to excel in the classroom as I have throughout these last three years of high school, and to succeed on the course while steadily improving, no matter where I play. On the James M. Bennett High School golf team, I have been a leader for my team every year and have tried my best to improve my game while also focusing on my teammates in helping them to succeed. Through my leadership on my high school golf team, my improvement and success on the state level, and my ability to learn and do well in the classroom, I believe this makes me different from other recruits.
