Personal Statement

My name is Rykert Frisinger and I am from Coldwater, MI. I go to Hillsdale Academy in Hillsdale, MI and I am a junior. I was introduced to golf at a very early age with my dad being a member of the PGA. I started playing golf when I was three and was out on the course with my plastic golf clubs. I would really love to play collegiate golf. It is something I would love to do because golf is my passion. In college I would like to study Business, Sports Management, or do a PGA program. The strengths of my game are my short game and accuracy off the tee. I am averaging 29 putts this year for 18 holes. I am currently working on the mental side of my game and my iron play, both of which I am striving to improve on. My lowest round ever was a 70(-2) at Battle Creek Country Club in a tournament. I have such a passion for the game and would love to talk to coaches about playing for them in the future!

We played at East the first day and shot 77. I could not get any putts to fall. We played West the second day and I came back strong with a 68. I ended up with a 145 total and got T-2.

It was 36 holes of stroke play and then they cut to the top 32 for match play. I went 74-70 and got the 11 seed. I won my round of 32 match 1 up. I then won my round of 16 match in 19 holes. I later won my quarterfinals match 3&2. I lost my semifinals match 1 down.
