Thomas Heslin '20 Recruiting Profile

I am starting my senior year at Jefferson Township High School in Morris County, New Jersey.   I am interested in studying government,  political science and pre-law in college. I have been golfing my entire life and hope to continue my golfing career on into my college years.  I am a fierce competitor and I never give up.   Golf has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.  My dad has been a golf teaching professional at public and private country clubs, and taught me to golf by the age of four.  However, I only started playing competitive golf in high school, and this past summer was my first foray into 18-hole tournaments.  My tournament scores were much higher than my golf abilities, as I learned how to score well in a highly competitive setting.  I am confident that my tournament scores will continue to improve and reflect my golf capabilities throughout my next two years of high school.  I am passionate about the game of golf, and am always reading, watching and practicing golf to improve my game.  I also thrive in team settings, and have played on competitive teams throughout my life in a variety of sports (baseball, basketball, soccer).  I consider myself to have an extremely diligent work ethic when it comes to my school work, as well as my golf game.   I crave competition on the golf course and hope to succeed every time I step on the first tee or step into the classroom.
