My ideal college is one that has a very competitive golf program in its respective division, but still has a good reputation in academics. I believe what makes me a good addition for any collegiate golf team is my strive to get better. When I'm at my home course or if I'm on the driving range, I commit to my weaknesses to make them my strengths and make my strengths even more advantageous. I make sure that when I do not have my "A" game, I do my best to manage my way around the golf course to shoot the best possible score under conflicting circumstances. I also am a very good student in school. In freshman year, my cumulative GPA was a 92.7 while my weighted GPA was a 98.5. I improved in sophomore year with a cumulative GPA of 93.2 and a weighted GPA of 99.4. Now a junior, I have achieved a cumulative GPA of 95+ for the first three quarters and a personal high weighted GPA of over 103 in the third quarter. As a freshman, I had found myself capable of balancing academics with high school golf and handled it without a problem the following years. Because Bergen Catholic's varsity golf team plays over 30 matches and plays at least 8 tournaments during school days over a span of only 2 months, every team member must be able to balance very competitive golf with academics, which frequently is fast-paced as all my classes are honors courses. Some college goals of mine include winning collegiate tournaments and perhaps reach the National Championship as a team as well as building relationships with teammates to help each other become better golfers and be the best team. I also hope in college to become a better student-athlete of all college goals I have.
