Ashton Kay '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Ashton Kay. I am currently 15 years old and an avid golfer. Growing up in a development that has a golf course, increased my interest and passion for the sport. Golf started out as a game I played during my free time and on weekends. When COVID hit, it became the one thing I could still do safely. I quickly increased my lessons & practice time. Now I am known as the “kid” that plays golf. You can almost always catch me watching a golf video, playing a round with my friends, practicing at the range, caddying, and volunteering at Bethpage State Park Golf Course teaching the younger golfers. This past year as a Freshman at LuHi (my High School), I played in the third seat on the Varsity Golf Team. This summer I competed in my first tournaments with Met PGA Junior Tour. In school, I strive for excellence and I am determined to keep my grades high. My teachers often say I am an asset to the class and bring out the best in my classmates. Golf has built my confidence and taught me many life lessons.
