Eli Matheson '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Eli Matheson and I'm a rising senior at Riverside Highschool in Durham, NC. I've been playing golf for 3 years and this is my first year on the high school golf team.  Throughout the season,  I held the number one spot on our team and became Rookie of the Year after qualifying for Regionals and States in the men's 4A Division.  I like to positively motivate my teammates and put them before myself to lead our team to  success. I'm able to balance academics, golf practice, and working a part time job to help my parents offset expenses. This has taught me time management skills and personal independence.  In college, I'm planning to study Business Management or PGA Management with hopes to open a golf course in the future. Family is an important part of my life, so staying close to home plays an important role in choosing  the college that best suits my interest.
