Personal Statement
My name is Nick Forbes. I was born and raised in South Africa and I moved here for a better opportunities. Recently I have been interested in opportunities involving golf and have put my full dedication into that for the past year and a half. To be candid I don't work to hard at things i do not enjoy. That is how you know I really do love golf, and I really do work hard at the sport and trying to better myself as a player, because for me, those two things go hand in hand. I love to be apart of a team, apart of something bigger than myself. I will do anything I can to ensure the success of the team I am apart of, in golf, and in anything else. My academics are strong and I can hold my own in all departments. At the moment I have a 26 on the ACT and i am retaking it soon to get a better mark as I am sure I can.
I would really like to play high level collegiate golf, the competitive streak in me strives to be the best at what I do and how else can I do that other than competing against the best. I know I can be a great help to your team, on and off the course, I know you want somebody who is committed to working hard at the game, and you would find that in me. I think that puts me above the rest, and you would not have to worry about grades being an issue.
