Lucas Dietrich '24 Recruiting Profile

        My grandparents put a plastic golf club in my hands when I was around the age of three, and I have never looked back since. I started playing tournament golf when I was 12 and once I got to Rocky River High School, I knew I could make the varsity team.  

        After tryouts my freshman year, I had become the only underclassmen to make the varsity team in four years. I have three years of experience on my school's varsity men's golf team, all of which I have led the team as the number one golfer en route to two Great Lakes Conference Championship wins and three district tournament appearances. In my time as a junior golfer, I have always exhibited elements of leadership on and off the course. Additionally, I am a High Honor Roll student with a 4.0 GPA, and I also commit lots of my time to giving back to my local community through the food bank, school events, as well as charitable organizations.

        I have always strived to play college golf, which is why I am the hardest worker on my team. Whether its a few extra putts or chips on the putting green, or a couple extra hours of studying for a big test, you will never find a student athlete more devoted to his junior golfing career than me. My biggest goal in college is to play on a team where I inspire my teammates to be better, but also where they inspire me to be the best player, and the best version of myself. Eventually, I would love to play golf for a living, either on the PGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, or even just as a PGA Professional, but it has to start somewhere.
