Tanner James '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tanner and I am a Freshman at Salem Senior High School. I always try to be a kind, caring and understanding person. I work well with others and am a good team leader. I lead with positivity, not by being bossy or rude. I learn from constructive criticism. 

Academically, I am a work in progress. I have struggled but I'm working on changing my bad habits. At this time I'm interested in computer programing/gaming and wood working. Not going to lie, being registered as a PGA instructor is a thought too. 

Right now golf is my true passion. I have only been playing for two years. As a Freshman, I earned my Varsity letter, that was my first goal. I am hoping to improve enough over the winter and spring to be able to play ever match as a Sophomore. I used to play ice hockey and I think that really helped my swing. I'm also on the track team and do discus and shot put. 

I'm excited to see what my future holds!
