Hello, I am Alexander Eckstein. I have been playing Golf for 7 years and have improved a lot every year. I started golfing on a par 3 course when I was 7 and I've kept with the sport. In high school I played the number two on the varsity team as a freshman although next season I believe with enough practice I will start playing the one. In my years of golfing I have received many awards including 27th in the 2021 Optimist championship, 2022 first team all North East Ohio, and 1st place in the 2022 U.S Kids Pennsylvania State Invitational. In 2023 I took 2nd place at the d3 Ohio state championship at Ohio State Scarlet course and received the first-team all Ohio award as a sophomore
Outside of golf I enjoy flying planes to get my licenses and become a pilot, being with my friends, and altar serving at my church. These activities help me become a more well-rounded person and help me to keep experiencing new things. I have also faced many challenges in my golfing career and in life. In 2019 my dad left my life and I wanted to quit golf, but I never did. I practiced almost every day since then and have improved a lot. I spent countless hours working on my techniques and mastering every aspect of my game. My biggest challenge was not getting in my own head. During 2022 I broke through that bad habit and had the best mindset I've had my entire golf career.
In college I look to play golf at a much higher level and improve my game while getting a degree. I practice most days in the winter and almost every day in the summer to be the best that I can be. My biggest advantage for college is that I can get along well with almost anyone and I am a very social person while focusing on the things that are important such as golf and grades. I love golf, I live golf, and I will never ever give up the sport.
